Hockey is awesome. As are dogs. In addition, so are feel-good stories about military heroes.
In this case, call this story of the Dallas Star, Nevada Grasse, and his service dog Six, the perfect storm…
Grassie, an Air Force veteran, was in attendance for the Stars’ Wednesday tilt with the Montreal Canadians, and right beside was his good pal, Six. Sportsnet Canada was able to catch up with the duo, where the human half praises his canine companion saying she “accompanies him on all (his) adventures” and she is “a great help”.
Grassie also praised Six’s expert handling of big crowds, and she was more than happy to demonstrate when the Stars put in a second period goal…

Alas, victory was not to be for the Stars’ newest fans, as Dallas fell 4-3 in overtime to Montreal.
