Thanks, God! Tim Tebow Homers In First Minor League At-Bat

Your most cherished prayer has been answered. In his first real professional at-bat, on opening day for the Single-A Columbia Fireflies, Tim Tebow socked a home run. It came against the Augusta GreenJackets in Columbia, S.C., off of Domenic Mazza on a 2-1 pitch in the second inning.

New York Post:

“All of my sports experiences helped me for moments like that,” Tebow told reporters.

That was the lone highlight of the night for Tebow, though. He went 1-for-5 in the game, striking out three times, twice looking. Tebow’s team won 14-7, a perfect score for the college football legend.

Tebow started in left field and hit in the No. 7 slot. No word on how he did with the glove.
