A Drake Vs. Chris Brown Boxing Match Is A Terrible Idea, But That Doesn’t Make Me Want To See It Any Less

Some idiot Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman has convinced some other idiot billionaire Alki David, a soda bottling company heir, to put up a million dollars apiece, and an additional million for charity (…the Anger Management Awareness Foundation? What normal charity wants any part of this mess?) for Drake and Chris Brown to fight each other again in a controlled setting. The New York Daily News reports:
“Obviously they have a grudge. It’s just three 1-minute rounds. No one will get seriously hurt,” Feldman told the Daily News.
He said the pay-per-view event could be in Las Vegas or Los Angeles with a target date of Aug. 25.
A Brown representative told The News that the performer’s camp has “never heard” of the offer.
All due respect, but I feel like Feldman might be more successful in making this happen if there were a possibility of serious injury. Class act that he is, Feldman has also expressed interest in having Rihanna as “the ring girl,” despite what happened to her the last time she was in the vicinity of a Chris Brown rage-a-thon. I do like that Brown’s camp’s response to this whole thing is “never heard of it” rather than “never in a million years,” suggesting that they are as good at handling Brown’s PR as he is at not being a complete dirtbag… which is to say, not very good. Tony Parker’s eye better make sure that it’s out of the country the weekend of August 25th, is all I’m saying.
