SKT1 Peanut May Have Pulled Off The Best Baron Steal Ever
  • Matt Hempstead

SKT1 went out a got Peanut for a reason. At Worlds, as a member of the ROX Tigers, many considered him to be the best jungler in the world. Some even put him in the the conversation of best League of Legends player alongside Smeb and Faker. Only 19 years of age, Peanut already has an extensive resume in which his aggressive style of play often catches other teams off-guard. That aggression once again worked out in his favour in week 8 of the LCK.

SKT and the BBQ Olivers were neck and neck at the 40 minute mark in game 1 of their series. Separated by only 500 gold, BBQ cleared all of SKT’s vision around Baron and started the objective. As Nashor’s HP starting ticking down, Peanut pulled off one of, if not the best steal of all-time.

Peanut had to do everything perfectly to pull off this steal. His reaction time was ridiculous. When he finally gets vision of Baron thanks to the Zilean bomb, he has about a second to make the play. On Graves, he flashes over the Ashe arrow to end up in the Baron pit. He then perfectly calculates the damage of an auto-attack and smite. If the play hadn’t worked, it’s likely BBQ would walk away with the win as SKT would be a man down. Instead, SKT ended the game just 3 minutes following Peanut’s miracle steal.
