WEEK 16 WAIVER WIRE POWER RANKINGS
(Time of Podcast in Parenthesis)

If you’re still competing for a Fantasy Championship chances are you probably don’t need any savvy Waiver Wire adds – there’s simply a high percentage your team is pretty damn good already. And frankly, if you do need to scramble, it’s probably going to come mid-week if someone gets injured.

Of the most super available names, only Jordan Todman and Andre Caldwell stick out as legitimate must adds. Although, all their value is tied to the health of the player in front of them. So, if Maurice Jones-Drew and Wes Welker return they’re going to be rather useless. They are definitely worth the pickups on pure upside, though. IfJarrett Boykin was cut loose a few weeks back and is still out there go get him too, especially in PPR leagues. All signs point to Aaron Rodgers finally being back for the Packers against the Steelers. Oh, and wish Matt Asiata all the best if you were forced to use him out of desperation, because he’s a name you may never hear ever again. Both Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart are expected to return at Cincinnati. Thanks for the memory Matt – you’ve become etched in history with Ladell Betts, Samkon Gado and a host of other random dudes that have swung the Fantasy playoffs. Kudos!

After that, the only thing you should need in Week 16 is a defense – if you’ve been streaming week-to-week. In a bizarre loophole, since Detroit doesn’t play until Monday, you can actually scoop them off free agency – FREE OF CHARGE – right now. The Lions play those awful, and turnover prone Giants next week. Even if you have a better option like Seattle or Kansas City, you may want to block your opponent from using them against you. Same goes with Cleveland against the Jets.

Just remember, your bench doesn’t matter any more. Make certain you’ve properly handcuffed all your elite players. If an unexpected injury crops up mid-week you don’t want any of the competition snagging his replacement before you do.

Also, watch this. Everyone will like this.
