Amar’e Stoudemire Tries To Channel Inner Hakeem Olajuwon, Puts On Very Short-Shorts

For the second straight off-season, a high-profile NBA player has sought out the tutelage of low-post wizard Hakeem Olajuwon. Last year, the Dream trained with LeBron James to help the then two-time MVP further his post skills.
This year, Olajuwon has taken on a new subject: Amar’e Stoudemire.
Stoudemire commissioned the 49-year-old former NBA big man to train with him for a week, and help the Knicks’ power forward work on his post offense. After scoring over 25 points per game in his first season with New York, Stoudemire’s offensive contributions took a decisive dip last year. Hoping to remaster his post game, Amar’e has begun working out with Olajuwon in Houston.
And I guess the saying goes, if you can’ beat em’, join em’.
In this video posted to STAT TV (Amar’e's YouTube channel) Stoudemire is seen practicing some low post moves with Olajuwon, sporting some very short-shorts.
No word on whether or not Amar’e is considering rocking the loincloth when the Knicks tip-off against the Nets November 1.
