British Tabloid Watch: “Shameful” English Defeated By Germany, Press Lose Minds


Jorge Larrionda’s disastrous call on Frank Lampard’s disallowed goal is, predictably, not sitting well with the British tabloid media. But although the press is spending plenty of time focusing on the controversial no-goal, they are surprisingly resigned to the fact that the Germans were clearly the better team today vs. England.

The “shameful” performance of the English, instead of the call, was more the focus today in the immediate aftermath of England’s defeat.
