“Casey The Punisher:” New Info About Casey Heynes (And His Bully) Emerges

When Casey Heynes bodyslammed his bully onto concrete, he became the catalyst for an anti-bullying campaign. And as news outlets begin to give the incident some attention, he’ll more than likely become a media lightning rod.

What began as a viral video showing the 10th grader slamming the (much smaller) 7th grader to the ground has now turned into a legitimate news story.

And as more media outlets have begun covering the incident, new information has surfaced.

After the fight, it appeared the bully was seriously injured. After being smashed onto the concrete, he struggled to walk before the camera turned off. But, according to the school, “the only injury sustained was a grazed knee.”

Heynes and his antagonist have both been suspended for four days by Chifley College Dunheved’s Campus, a school in Sydney, Australia for students in grades 7 to 10. A spokeswoman for the school told the Daily Telegraph the school “does not tolerate any violence and deals with all cases according to its community-agreed discipline code.”

As Salon.com points out, the CCDC website describes the school as “a safe, supportive and productive learning environment to promote individual achievement and self-responsibility.”

But some students at the school see things differently. According to the Telegraph, students at the school said violence was a daily occurrence with fights often filmed and posted online.

“The fights I have seen here, it’s horrible. It really makes me feel unsafe,” one student told the Telegraph. ” A classmate added: “People pick on him every single day, they hit him around and stuff, and he just got sick of it and let out the anger.”

When the video first surfaced, it came with a blurb that “Casey the Punisher” was “this 16 year old kid has been tormented every single day of his short high school life …” Heynes’ father confirmed that his son had been tormented for years, and he feared for his safety if he spoke about the fight.

“There’ll be reprisals from other kids in the school and he still has to go to school somewhere,” he told the Telegraph. … “He’s not a violent kid, it’s the first time he’s lashed out and I don’t want him to be victimised over that.”

We will be sure to keep you posted on what happens to Casey, as this story is only going to grow bigger (especially once the cable news channels sink their teeth into it).

I will give money for this kid buy a sub machine gun and go postal on his school.

a must see video for those who want bullying stopped!!

i think Casey showed remarkable restraint. He was punched in the face and took it. At anytime the smaller kid could have walked away but chose not to.

I taught my children that everyone has the right to defend themselves. Everyone has the right to protect themselves and if that means punching an aggressor in the face, or slamming them to the ground I will stand behind them 100%.

  • kudos kid!

Name and punish the bully, the cameraman, and all the bystanders in the video – including the two girls looking on with amusement…. and investigate the school that lets this crap go on every day.

“The school aims to provide a safe, supportive and productive learning environment to promote individual achievement and self-responsibility.”

Kudos on your achievement and self-responsibility Casey!

  • Hector62901

It looks like as the small bully was lurching away ( probably put of breath ) a larger bully approached the victim Casey and a taller young girl approaches and tells the larger bully to back off …at which point he does …she should be commended for preventing another attack on Casey by the larger bully…

…now if you find a way to do that to congress

Good on you Casey, I hope your Dad sues the school for not providing a safe environment & for suspending u. If you didn’t do what u did u were going to end up getting hurt, the little prick got what he deserved. I don’t condone violence, but u have a right to defend urself.

    Dear Casey Heynes,

You are my hero and I am truly
    your biggest fan and supporter.

Screw that ‘pacifism’ crap that I was

    Prick
Dont worry Casey everyone at work and in the street are
right behind you everyones talking about it
You are the peoples champion good on you and best wishes for the future

  • Bobbyjoe

It says in the bible to turn the other cheek and Casey did that. I say after the other cheek gets it, all bets are off baby!!!! God also gives us the right to self preservation if you don’t exercise that your just being stupid.. Casey and I share the same motto it appears ( I never start a fight, But I’m not afraid to finish one…)Good luck in the future Casey, and best wishes ;-) And remember after high school those jerks wont amount to much, but you have the rest of your life to look forward too. So do your best and make us proud!!

  • SteveOZ

in the video clip added, the reporter says “sad on both sides”… how the hell is it sad for the little runt who was bashing him up?? He got what he deserved!!

  • Steve

Getting Slamed to the ground did not do justice
Casey should have also punched him in the face
so he could feel what its like
But in all honesty Casey you are a TRUE CHAMPION
and a true gentleman We are behind you good luck

  • Blegh.

SteveOz: T.V stations probably want to buy the bullies story/an interview (because they’re unethical scumbag ambulance chasers) so they pretend to be neutral to get ‘The Inside Scoop.’

    -Mahatma Gandhi

As you can see, this man did not have a simple view of the world, and is too often portrayed as an absolutist pacifist. He really was not. He noted that, while peace was always preferable, violence against oppression was predictable.

  • Acrising

I guarantee you there won’t be a next time. Sometimes, you just have to show bullies that you won’t take it and that you can protect yourself. Most bullies are scared to death of someone who fights back. Casey just showed the entire world what happens when you push someone too far. Way to go Casey!!!! You showed everyone that you are to be respected.

  • greekam

So if the Casey’s of the world don’t defend themselves, they become the victims of bullying, who later end up getting hold of a gun and shooting up their schools to get even, a la Columbine, etc. Adults say that bullying is wrong, but then they don’t allow kids to defend themselves against it? Adults, you’re talking out both sides of your mouths….

  • Jimbethm

It’s sad because the little bully, was bullying because his so-called friends urged him on. They are older and bigger and I suspect he was doing it to “fit in”. He was a bullied kid, bullying another kid. At the end of the day, he loses on both counts. Casey did what most would like to do, he had enough and as John Wayne said “courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway” Way to go young man…

  • Buster

How does Casey get suspended for that? After he got the punk off him, he backed off – showing tremendous restraint. If it had been me, I would have followed up the body slam with a few kicks to his head.

  • FreeinJesus!!!

Way to go Casey!!! so proud of you for defending yourself!!!

  • Leiamaysmith

This is the ultimate responsibility of all of those people who call themselves parents. We must step up and teach our children and other children along with their “parents” physical, emotional, psychological abuse is the cause of our children hurting each other that will last them a life time. I have always stood up to bullies for my friends, my children and their friends. This bullying seems to be a form of enjoyment for those who are lost themselves that they do not realize it will lead to ‘SUICIDE” or accidental “DEATH”. Would you want your child growing up in knowing that they accidently killed someone either by their own hands or words? Here in Massachusetts, we are constantly burying our young to suicide…by bullying.
Enough is Enough….. PARENTS NEED TO PARENT…..and all of those involved should suffer some kind of concequence for not helping those who are in need of help. I myself was a victim of abuse by a girl who got off of my bus stop, told me to put my stuff down and fight. I held on to my stuff while she slapped me in the face…she asked me if i was going to fight back and I said no, go ahead and slap the other side of my face… she looked shocked and left. Words are better to use, don’t be afraid to stand up go to any adult that will listen and care enough about you to stand beside you up against these bullies and their so called “PARENTS”.

  • Audiomega

The only real injury that kid sustained was to his ego, pride and reputation. And he got off easy… I’d have kicked his face completely in while he laid there and then used a mental health defense. Hahahah @ that bullying twirp.

  • F8hpns

Casey should not have been punished. The bully got off easy. The other kids who just stood and watched should have been suspended as well.

  • THARZA

Hell yeah thats what the that little punk deserves. The funniest part is that little fag stumbling off after he got slammed. To all the fat kids that get picked on out there, slamming someone on the concrete is the easiest way to end a fight. That kid deserved what happened to him. Good Job Casey! Ill even help out with the attorney bill if that little punk decides to press charges. There is nothing I cant stand more than a bully. I use to witness it all the time when i was in school and it made me sick

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Razz-Matazz/100000635273089 Razz Matazz

Those girls who stood there and watched these scene need to be expelled from the school for being accessories. I am glad Casey slammed that kid, and the fact that another moron was going to come forward to “protect” the kid doing the bullying was pathetic. That guy needs to be expelled as well for allowing the scene to take place. The person holding the camera needs to be expelled. Casey should NOT have been expelled. The school needs to get sued real quick for allowing this kid to get bullied day after day. Any kid who wants retaliate on the bullies behalf should be immediately arrested and expelled. See if its worth it to them to bully a kid for the heck of it, if the consequences for such an action are harsh. Also naming and shaming needs to happen. You bully a kid your face gets smeared across the front page of a newspaper in your area.

  • guest

I’d say it’s the parents who are responsible. What kind of parent lets their kids think bullying is ok? Parents get one on one time with their kids. High School teachers have 200 kids a day.

  • dm

Funny how the news report happen to omit from its presentation the bully actually landing his first punch to Casey’s face and the the first punch to Casey’s stomach…hmmm…that’s news for ya!!!

  • Anti bully league

This is classic. Moron smaller kid thinks he can continue to bully a reserved much bigger kid. At some point bullys will lose. Just because a kid is quiet doesn’t equte to being weak. Good lesson for kids.

  • Pnell_99

I think he should have broken his damn leg. If i were casey i would sue the school. How dare they suspend him when its crystal clear that the little bastard started it. They should be grateful that all he did was slam him instead of finding a gun and shooting up the shool. I bet he won’t get up in his face again.

  • Mary

I can guarantee you that if the administration was held responsible for this, along with the teachers, and it hit their pocketbooks, the fighting would be halted imediately. Also, since it was clearly the younger, smaller boy who was the antogonist, hit his parents in the pocketbook. They might view their son’s bullying differently if THEY were held accountable. The older boy has every right to attend school in an atmosphere conducive to learning. The school obviously has not been able to provide that so he had to do so himself through the only means he saw available. The school should not punish this young man for something THEY failed to handle!

Students write that there are fights and some students are afraid. How sad that adults do not do their job. If the school couldn’t handle the bully, they should expel him. Bullies need to learn there are consequences to their behavior and their parents need to have consequences, as well. In this case, the school should also be held to the fire on this!

  • Redefy-73196

If you’re idiot enough to be a bully, follow the rules….Rule # 1: Pick on someone smaller than you. Rule # 2: See rule number 1. The little punk deserved what happened to him!!!!

As long as we teach children, “It doesn’t matter who started it.”, as we do here by punishing them both equally, bullies will proliferate.

  • SupportCasey

Casey should have given that kid a concussion with some serious brain damage with. Bullies always get away with things because schools just do not care. I say we form the Casey scholarship fund.

  • Schewepsman

I deplore bullying because I was a victim of it when I was a very young person. It is a sad commentary that one has to retaliate to gain some respect and security in the place we live. I honestly believe that parents are responsible for a child that is a bully. A child, male or female, is the product of what he or she learns at home for the most part, and some from their peers. I gained a wealth of respect after I gave back what was inflicted upon me. A sad situation.

  • Byron

the bully got away lucky a few inches left or right on that swing could have caused #1 broken neck # 2 Spinal damage and a wheel chair for the rest of his life.

  • Anonymous

Amazing. Bullying has always happened and probably always will, but what was that scrawny kid with the fancy footwork thinking? I cannot believe that he didn’t suspect, at least, that if Mr. Casey had enough (lots of restraint there for a teenager) he (Mr. Scrawny) was dead meat. Good grief!!

  • Jean Petibois

    That rox!

Good job Casey, you’ve had enough of that : that little pice of s— got what he deserves.

As a final comment the girls staring there should be kicked ou the school too

Nice 1 Casey, you are brave, you are courageous, you’ve shown mercy : I don’t know You but i am proud of You SIR !!!!

  • jodi

I agree that the girl who stepped in and stopped a second larger guy from going after Casey should be praised. All of those watching and laughing when the skinny bully was going after Casey should be suspended (along with the skinny bully) and Casey should not be suspended because he only defended himself and then walked away. I also heard that the skinny sh** only scratched his leg but it did look like he may have been hurt more than that………..but it was his own fault.

  • Maryakramer

Because that little runt is a 13 year old boy who is still learning about life – and in this case he received an invaluable life lesson, didn’t he? Condemn the sin, forgive the sinner.

  • Cadi9122

Bullcrap. The bully is a yuppie jerk who isn’t getting bullied in any way. He chose to do it to be cool. Don’t make excuses for him. Casey is the hero. Hands down. Self-defense will end bullies and improve school environments by allowing natural selection.

  • Graymouse1

The school says it “does not tolerate any violence and deals with all cases according to its community-agreed discipline code.” What a cowardly stance to take. Don’t hide behind you regs. Stand up for what’s right.

  • wjpr

“This 16 year old kid has been tormented every single day of his short high school life … There’ll be reprisals from other kids in the school and he still has to go to school somewhere. He’s not a violent kid, it’s the first time he’s lashed out …”

The lesson they’re teaching in Casey’s case isn’t “everything will be okay for you if you just do nothing and tell an authority figure later.” The only message they’re sending is: “You are and always will be a victim, whether of bullies or of authority figures. Just keep taking it, then when you’re older be filled with quiet rage, maybe beat your wife and kids or buy a gun and shoot everybody at work.”

Poor kid, and poor rest of us.

  • wjpr

Hm. It occurs to me I ought to mention that I’m not one of the “victims” who’s “filled with quiet rage,” I don’t beat beat my wife and kids or anyone else, and it has never crossed my mind to “shoot everybody at work!” I was referring to people treated like Casey; I’m not one of them. If I WAS mad at everybody at work for some reason I’d be the type to blame myself!

Can’t be too careful about giving people the wrong idea on the ‘Net these days. :-)

  • Jim Bishop

I’m with Casey! Don’t wait so long to respond next time

  • no name

you’re assuming he learned anything. kids today are told nothing is their fault, nothing is their responsibility, his parents will probably SUE the school. then he will go on bullying.

  • No

I’d say the KID is reponsible. he is 16, he’s not a little child, he knows it’s wrong, he did it anyway.
certainly the parents share some of the blame, when I was a kid and a bully picked on someone, their parents would always deny it, saying “oh your kid must have hit him first” or some crap.
but hey, these aren’t 4 year olds, they are old enough to know better!

  • Frodo

I guess the little twerp won’t bother Casey again.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IEIJDIPBZY3HJLVAACJVMAOGGQ jonnyman

I feel you got lucky and most true bullys would have stomped on your head if you had no intention of fighting back like poor casey never did. Did you watch the video and think if he hadnt fought back and used words to defend himself anything would have happened to his attacker. I applaud him and say to all those who teach forbearance under torture to try some tortue and if they like it they are massochists.

  • Anonymous

Where was the punitive response by educators while this runt was building up his ill-advised confidence to pick on Casey? They only man-up after he takes care of the problem on their watch.

Typical. Education administrators sit in their offices dreaming about golf while this stuff builds to the point that a kid like Casey has to do their jobs for them.

Kid ought to get a bounty for punctuating that little prick. And another for not completely annihilating him while the opportunity clearly existed.

  • Anonymous

That little turd only picked on Casey because he thought he could get away with it. Now he knows he can’t. Way to go, Casey!

  • Jay6615

When he’s done teaching that heathen a lesson, he needs to go around and slap some sense into the little turd’s parents!

  • Anonymous

Who permit that little mental midget to grow so high an opinion of himself that he is allowed to behave that way under your omnipotent little cloak of “still learning about life”?

I think the runt just learned a lot about life at about 9.8 meters per second per second in Casey’s arms.

So that little moron should grow up and all his life be able to, for instance, sue fan manufacturers because his fingers get lopped off each time he sticks them in running blades? He still has nine, he’s still learning!

Learn about life this way: no handrails dipshit; you trip, you fall. Big this time.

People need to be flooding that school website with emails on how they failed in protecting their students. Their suspension of Casey just shows how out of touch they really are. This school should be made an example of. They obviously have been “tolerating” bullys for a while. Casey’s family should file suit against the school administration. It’s their fault this went on for so long.

Whether the parents taught him to be a showboating bully/punk is unknown.Parents can’t be with kids 24/7 .I hope the parents tried to teach the bully better manners. At a point it’s out of their hands.Unfortunately there are many other influences in a kids life.Regardless, I’m glad the victim taught him a life lesson.Maybe he won’t try bullying the wrong person sometime who he perceives as weak, and end up meeting the great equalizer,as Sam Colt called it. As far as hitting a girl, here in Texas,it’s frowned upon, unless she puts herself in a man’s place by assaulting a man. Then, as some of the old timers told me, shame on um’.

All the more appropriate sense they were obviously planning on videorecording it and posting it to youtube anyway. So the instigator got what was coming to him, but the co-conspirators egging him on and recording it got nothing — justice has not been completely servered. Yet.

All of us need to stand up to bullies! No more of this “standing there watching” crap. Do something about it! When I was in HS, I didn’t allow bullies to pick on smaller, weaker kids. I stood up for the weaker kid and in no uncertain terms told the bully to back off. They did. All school students need to start doing the same and this kind of stuff would come to a halt.

  • Leiamaysmith

Thanks for being one of the few of us that will not just stand there and watch or instigate more violance. Once there is violance beyond one’s self control is shows just how much trouble this world is really in…

  • Matt

Great job Casey! I wish I had your courage back when I was bullied!

  • Been there, did same

Hooray for Casey! When I was in the 6th grade I hit the breaking point of no more. Over two days I had to fight and defeated the “boss” bully and his 2 sidekicks. I am now 68 years old and have never had a fight since because I stood my ground from then on. You are to be commended Casey.

  • benthere

I think Casey showed some serious restraint. I also think he should have picked the little pissant up and slammed him again. I bet the little weasel past his bullying now.

  • Leroybraun

Like a Chihuahua nipping at a Saint Bernard.

  • Asdlk

The school administrators suspended the two kids but they should suspend themselves too for being failures at maintaining a safe school environment. And why is the victim punished?

  • Senior Citizen

To punish someone for defending himself is evil. We need to expose the bureaucrats, by name and position, who decided to suspend Casey Heynes for defending himself. They should be severely disciplined. Their fat paychecks and fat pensions should be vunerable to their unwillingness or inablility to perform their mandated legal duty of protecting their students from this outragious daily bullying. Their pitifully poor discernment of right and wrong makes them unfit to teach our children, let alone lead an educational staff or district. And no amount of self-serving handringing over school “policy” can cover up their utter stupidity.

  • Jchdwck

Meanwhile – we should raise money and send Casey to Disneyland during his 4 day suspension!

  • mk72

I agree with your comment about the girl that told the second boy to back off. Also your comment about Casey getting suspended was correct but the bully and his buddy was suspended also. The arrogant prick that thought by taunting Casey just because he may be different (Chunky) he was an easy target. He sure knows now what concrete looks like coming towards you at a great speed. To all present and future bullies: Never fight the concrete floor. You will LOSE! HAHAHAHA.

  • Raindog

Casey did the right thing by defending himself and should not be punished for his actions but I am quite set back from some people that have commented here. I don’t think that it would have been the right thing for Casey to kick his aggressor in the face or for him to break his leg. Geez. Some people must have some serious pent up emotions, have been on the receiving end of some major bullying in their past or are just stupid dipsticks to say such stuff. The bully is just a kid. I don’t believe that he needs to be crippled or killed for a mistake he made at his age. I wish the best for all the kids.

The little runts parents need to have their ass kicked as well. Either they don’t know their child is growing up to be a horrible kid or they know and don’t care. Either way, they are awful parents.

  • FuckPrick

wonder what happened to that little fuck who continued walking towards Casey….

  • http://www.facebook.com/paguillen Porfirio Rene Aguillen

What ever you say, I bet that kid won’t do it again !!!

Adults can never make up their mind.

I’ll bet few of the commentators are teachers. Don’t blame the schools for the quality of students they get from homes that have no structure. Try making a quality product… smart kids… from the bits and pieces of ready to learn kids the society sends them.
Nice slam Casey… you get an A+ today for PE.

  • Tom

I bullied a classmate when I was young. He hit me very hard in the face. I am 57 and have never done anything like that again. I learned fast.

  • Alexander

Self defense is a human right and inviolable. The school authorities should be punished by the state usurping Casey’s sovereinty over his own body.

  • Mutabile

What a horrible animal and wildman that Casey is. When I was bullied at school, my teacher enlightened me to the truth: all the children bullied me because they liked me and wanted to be my friends. Yep, that’s literally what she said: that it was their way of showing affection.

Unfortunately, there are still millions of children worldwide who, like uncivilised savages, actually are UNHAPPY with being bullied. And they sometimes expect teachers to DO STUFF against bullying! How rude.

Let us pray for all these poor bullies who are at such risk from their aggressive, evil victims.

  • Mutabile

eh, in retrospect, my sarcasm wasn’t obvious enough. Go Casey, all bullying vticims now have someone to look up to. :(

  • Boracaysands

If it was two adults the aggressor regardless of size would be guilty of assualt. Casey tried to restrain himself but he couldn’t take it and lashed out, justifiably so in MHO. This pint-sized little terror thought his buddies, excuse me his gang of thugs, would back him. Sorry it turned out badly for him, sorry for the parent of these little thugs who clearly have inspired such viloence in their children. Of course the parent will say their children are angels. . .talk about denial.

  • John_amekin

The real bully is the schooling system that “Doesnt tolerate violent behavior” but all they do is sit on their righteous a** and enforce their law instead of doing something pro-active, like understanding the situation here.
Its easy to have a law against violence, it sounds good on paper too, everyone hates violence right? Makes me puke, nothing is white or black, people are pushed to their limits everyday by very subtle violence that is promoted every day by those laughing girls and cheering kids. Im not wise enough to know the root of the problem, but its not punishing both kids by preventing them from learning for four days that is going to change ANYTHING.

I was bullied a couple of time when I was young. Stood up to the bullies both times.

Lost one fight but was never bothered again by the same bully.

The second fight was scary but I put my metal lunch box through his face when I swung with all of my might. His teeth disappeared in a gush of blood and his nose was broken. No more bully. I never saw him in that school again.

I was bullied by superiors while in the ARMY and got my revenge by making them attack each other.
They were too busy fighting each other to bother me and I did exactly what I pleased.

To heck with the passive garbage. Turn the other cheek long enough to get a large weapon.
Passive ism is a joke. If you act like a wimp you will get your a$$ kicked again and again.

If the bully is much more powerful than yourself then you find an equalizer or attack from a position
    of strength.

Better yet plan a covert attack with the intent of demoralizing and humiliating the bully and his/her buddies.
The scars they receive will last a lifetime. Your pride and self worth will grow exponentially.

    my guess is that
    1) You have been never bullied over an extended period and the fear that comes with it. He was REALLy being threatened by a group, not just the smaller kid.

    2) You don’t realize that he is very likely the type of kid who does mot fight or know how to fight…and that is why he was picked on and likely has never thrown a punch in his life

Between the two he protected himself only way he knew how. To expect anything else in that situation from a such a 16 year old speaks to lack of perspective on your part.

    Take a closer look…

The little kid was punching him because a bigger kid was backing him up –

The real bully stepped in then walked away as the school staff member broke it up…

    Also, who video taped this…

Looks like it was by a friend of the big and little bully…

the way little bully mugged for the camera…

this kid will still be punked…

    just not on campus…

  • Marcus

So bullies really want to be your friend? Children like to be bullied? What are you smoking???

  • Marcus

Don’t so sure, it takes more than one drop on the concrete to rein in a bully. I know, it took me several nasty fights to finally convince my bully that he would get seriously hurt if he continued. The last fight involved stitches for my bully.

  • Thack

So the little punk got body slammed pro wrestling style. It could have been worse, Casey could have done a Pile Driver on his bully. Kudos for Casey!

  • Mom0f3

Lars, please read the most recent news about the bully. He has refused to apologize to Casey. No need to assume anything, it’s painfully obvious that he has learned nothing.

  • Allan

I was bullied several times in school. Then I fought back and it stopped. It’s all instinct: show weakness and you get attacked. Show strength and you live peacefully. Everybody knows this, deep down. The ones who act or talk otherwise are facetious or disconnected from reality.

  • Forevergreen

Looks like 99% of the posters are missing the real point here which i mentioned briefly two days ago.So I will expand it, its called brunt force trauma it happens mostly in sports and nobody thinks a tackle a punch or a push is going to kill or maim some one but it happens.
In this case of bullying (and the restraint from Casey was admirable), but just think one inch or less either way on that slam albeit it was a self defensive move could have been catastrophic for both boys their friends and famlies.A broken Neck or spinal damage will kill or maim one for life,a funeral or a wheel chair a sad end to the story is it not. When the parents and the kids get it maybe just maybe some good will come out of this type of bulling

  • Efrky4

    you da’ man casey!!!

  • SillyWookie

kids are basically living representations of everything we fear about creating self aware, intelligent computers except that they actually have a physical body that can take action on their simplistic motivations whereas our computers are still lacking in that area for the most part.

Bullying and fights and other craziness in schools is nothing new, but now the prevalence of video cameras everywhere has given us instant replay and ability to spread it beyond the local schoolyard to and audience of millions which makes moving past a particular incident that much more difficult for all involved.

You can’t evaluate these things like you do with adults. Kids are essentially mental patients with the exception that their insanity is a temporary condition. You can’t let the patients run the asylum, but the ability of administrators to do anything in most cases is hampered by legal concerns and parent’s unfailing belief that their child can do no wrong (except of course when there is video evidence proving it beyond a shadow of a doubt)

If kids are to learn and build character, they have to be free to make bad decisions as well as good ones. The trick is not allowing a pattern of bad decisions to continue and to minimize their impact on all involved.

The most aggravating information about this case and others like it is not the specific incident of bullying, but the fact that everyone, adults and kids alike, seemed to be well aware that Casey was the target of an ongoing bullying campaign involving multiple participants over the course of several years. That type of unbalanced situation should have been addressed much earlier. It’s hard to expect kids to the right thing, when adults are afraid to…

  • Harlowe Thrombey

Only SCUM victims turn around and create more victims. It’s no excuse. I couldn’t care less about the bully or his injuries. He deserves is.

  • Don’t take it

I got bullied at school but my Dad taught me a useful tip. You have to fight back. A bully does it because he can and he thinks you are going to be easy to push around. Some found the hard way that I was not as soft as I looked. If you think it’s going to end in a fight then make sure you strke first and hard on the nose, it is a jungle out there in most schools so yo have to defend yourself. As with Casey the school come down on both the bully and the bullied because they are trying to hide the fact that they can not control it in any way shape or form.

  • ValerieHussain

It is obvious from the video that he didn’t want to retaliate, this is a message for all bullys, it is sad it came to this but hopefully some good may come out of it for both boys

  • Sandra_lacuesta

tht was awsome way to stand up for urself!!!!

Way to go Casey. Do not ever let others pick on you. You have the right to protect yourself from people that are just stupid. You are a big dude exert your power over them.

  • Anonymous

One of the girls made sure that they didn’t go on with the fight

  • Jmccoy

He did not snap. He defended himself period. If he had run off and told someone as the teachers and administrators seem to have wanted him to he would have been subjected to this again probably the next day. It is crazy that he was or is in any kind of trouble for defending himself.

  • Mr. Bill

The next people to get body slammed should be the staff at the school. If this was daily behavior there is no way the school did not know about it. Fire them all, sue the school system there and make it safe for the rest of the kids. On a more personal note… Casey I was bullied by a 6th grader while in the 3rd grade here in America. This went on every day for half the school year. It didn’t stop until I layed him upside the head with a brick from behind. No one ever tormented me again all the way through graduation. I sincerely hope this works for you too. Way to go kid!

  • mr. Bill

yes and the kid would have deserved it!

  • Anonymous

I was bullied once. I was a smart kid doing higher level courses and some group of guys in gym class decided to pick on me. I showed restraint at first (their actions were only mildly annoying) but then one day on my way to lunch they accosted me in the hall and I dropped my books, grabbed the ringleader by the throat, shoved him up against a locker and told him to piss off. Those idiots never bothered me again.

  • somebody

What a hypocrite you are. First, you commended Casey for defending himself. Next, you insulted other people for typing mean things in here. Then, you typed that you wish the best for all the kids. Make up your mind.

Who cares if Richard’s a kid or not? I’ve had it with people like him. Casey deserved to pummel that jerk for messing with him.

Because of your hypocrisy, you’re the stupid dipstick. If I’m you, I’d make up my mind about which side to take and stick with that decision by refraining from badmouthing both sides.

Also, are you a pacifist or something? I hate pacifists because of their goody-goody hypocrisy.

If you want peace and justice, you sometimes have to fight for them because pacifism can’t solve every problem there is.

  • Bullies are evil! Not victims.

Are you really sarcastic? If not, shove your deluded lies up your ass and go to Hell!

If you have a problem with what certain people type and typed, then you should get off of here and do as my username says.

  • Screw pacifism

Well typed, fellow pacifist hater! Big thumbs up to you and Casey! And I mean it.

  • Mind your own business

Do what my username is says if you have don’t like what he or she typed, you goody-goody.

  • Teach

guarantee the staff knew about it and it had been repeated ly spoken about with alll parties involved but i certainly believe the “parents” of the bully laughed it off in front of their son and acted as if he was doing nothing wrong and he was just continuing to do his thing until the victim finally snapped! Too many people blame the school staff! I teach and where i work I don’t know one teacher that would back of that type of bullying behavioer…..the bullly would have his little ass swept downstairs to the Admin within seconds….I’v almost slammed a few boys for the BS I’ve seen pulled on kids(6-8th Middle School with over 1k students!) Now…once the admin gets a hold of them….it’s a different story……I’ve seen some bad kids walk away without reprucutions…..scared of being sued but F that! Man up and get rid of these wormy kids….and teach their trashy parents as well. But PLEASE…..stop blaming the teachers for this…..you are way off!! I know it’s popular to do right now for very uneducated reasons and jealousy….but please on this issue don’t even go there!!

  • anon

for your information, sending casey to disneyland during his suspension wrong because it gives him the impression that being suspended for defending himself is great. for your information, being punished is nothing to feel good about. it’s like you want casey to enjoy receiving more bullying.

a true anti-bully would never accept getting punished. if i’m casey and i get suspended, i’d strike back at the people whoever punished me. same thing goes if i’m one of casey’s parents.

  • Casey supporter

I couldn’t agree with you more, my fellow bully hater.

  • Casey supporter

You have no idea what a hypocrite you are, you bully-supporting dickweed. How would you like it Richard bullied the hell outta you?

Wishin’ for people like to die because of Ravendjinn typed makes you no better than Richard. What if Richard says that to you? Would you accept it?

When I was in fifth grade, I once wished one of my classmates dead until my dead fund about it. And boy, was he offended? Therefore, he punished me for that by keeping my comic books from me. Afterwards he forgave me and gave them those books back to me, he warned me never to wish anyone dead again.

Honestly, you better be careful about wishin’ death on people ’cause that might happen to you. But if you support bullies a lot, then don’t blame me if they kill you.

  • Casey supporter

    I second that.

  • Casey supporter

    My thoughts exactly.

  • Casey supporter

I wish that I showed my bullies who’s boss like what you did to yours, except that I’d be more aggressive.

  • Mindstamina

Oh and you think wishing brain damage on a child makes him any better? No you idiot. It makes you no worst than the bully. It’s a 11 year old child. Noticed how after he got slammed, another bigger kid came at Casey and Casey walked away. Obviously the smaller kid was trying to impress his peers and got what he deserved. But to wish brain damage shows how pathetic of a human being he is. Sick inbred bastard. You just aim at me and not that person because of your bias intention being that he wished the bully brain damage. If you cannot see how obvious you make your hypocrisy to be than you must be the one suffering from brain damage.

  • Casey supporter

How deluded and self-righteous you are. It’s ironic that you directed all those nasty things at me when you can’t even get a good look at yourself.

You’re the one who has hypocrisy and has bias. Hoping people who die for wishing brain damage on others makes you just as bad as any bully.

Honestly, why in the hell would you allow bullying to happen? If I didn’t know I better, I’d say that you support it and root for them. Hell, I bet that you laugh at victims for getting tortured.

Obviously, you don’t know what it’s like to be bullied. Instead, you just you seemto want to bullies walk all over their victims.

Didn’t I point out earlier that my dad forbade me to wish people dead? It sounds to me that you want me dead.

Bullying doesn’t deserve to be in this world. And I totally agree with what Ravendjinn had typed about bullying being disgusting behavior.

Also by hoping for people like Ravendjinndie to die, you’ll be in big trouble for that.

What’s also hypocritical is that claim that Richard got what he deserved but bitched about him getting brain damage. Do you suck up to him or something?

I know what it’s like to get bullied as I’ve been in that situation for too fuckin’ long. And I’m damn tired of it. Therefore, I can relate to Casey. If he didn’t defend himself, Richard would have making a victim out of him.

Honestly, is bullying being all the time what you want? If so, then maybe I should bully the hell out of you.

By swearing at me, you’re just as bad as I am. Don’t accuse me of those things when you come off as being them. If you don’t like what I posted, then ignore me!

  • Mindstamina

Again. You aiming just at me and not at him makes you a bias idiot. Who are you anyways? That person’s mom? F’ck off. You aim at me and call me a hypocrite but do not aim at him which makes you so obvious in your bias that it is pathetic. Better to just not had jumped in at all. You agreeing to have a 11 year old child suffer for a childish mistake than it shows that you have mental issues since you let kids get to you so emotionally. Hey I bet you get sooo really angry and yell at a kid for calling you “pooppie head” huh? I can pictured it “HEY DON’T CALL ME A POOPPIE HEAD YOU BASTARD!!!”…LOL. You are a loser. You been bullied and now you have a vendetta against little kids being kids who deserves to be grounded for being bullies but not to suffer a life of damage. Go kill yourself because in reality I cannot picture myself living in such a pathetic state as you are living. I feel sorry for you.

  • advisor

i can’t believe you just posted that. you feel sorry for him yet you want to kill himself just because he hates a kid. you know? he doesn’t need your pity. and he’s right that you’re a hypocrite. here are how:

    1. you claim to feel sorry the Casey supporter but want him to commit suicide.

    2. you sound like want to richard be a spoiled little brat.

    3. you feel sorry for richard but you have no pity for bullied victims.

    4. you claim to that that enemy of yours biased when you’re biased yourself.

    5. you claim that nobody should get back at bullies but don’t seem to care if bullies walk all over their victims.

    6. you wished that rchard’s would die just because they hate him.

what a very small mind you have. what if a bully came up to you, told you to kill yourself, and you refused? and suppose he or she forces you to do that. would you still allow that jerk to take advantage of you?

fyi, you don’t know that guy very well. so don’t make false assumptions about him. he can hate kdis all he wants because he has the freedom to.

tell me, do you mollycoddle kids and spoil them rotten? if i didn’t know better, i’d say that you’re paranoid of all child haters. in case you didn’t notice, there will always be anti-child people in this world whether you like it or not. and by retaliating at them, you’re just as bad as they are.

by wanting people you hate to commit suicide, you’re no better than they are. since you couldn’t stand those anti-richard people, why don’t you just ignore them? if you keep getting back at them, they’ll likely do the same to you.

and let me give you this piece of advice: if you make enemies by supporting for too long, you have only yourself to blame. think about it.

  • advisor

other thing that i want to tell you is that todays’ bullies could grow up to be tomorrow’s criminals. if richard had been taught to not bully, then he wouldn’t find himself in such a big mess.

you see? casey supporter’s mom told him that if he mouthes off to an number of nasty people in this world, they could punch in him in the face. and she’s right.

what i’m tryin’ to get it is if richard hadn’t gone to far in antagonizing casey, then that big boy wouldn’t have body-slammed him. and let that be warning to you and anyone else who tries to terrorizing innocent people.

also, it isn’t just kids who are bullies. thereare also bullies are no kids.

if you ask me, you remind me of some guy named izzy kalman. like you, he’s a hypocrite on that he claims that he wants to help bullied victims but doesn’t want them to defend themselves at all. instead, he’d rather have them them make friends with their enemies even fi it means being victimized for the rest of their lives.

you also remind me of some other jerk who criticized and anti-bully group by telling them that they should let victims get bullied because it prepares them for the future. such a lie he or she told.

so i insist that you think about what i told you.

  • Casey supporter

    Thank you for posting that.

By the way, I have a favor to ask of you: There’s this jerk who sided with Richard and claimed that all of his enemies should die. Can you believe that?

Anyway, that jerk’s username is Mindstamina. And he or she (most likely, he) is in this webpage. If you scroll, you’ll see where that delusional hypocrite is.

  • Anonymous

‘Childish mistake?’ Sorry, I think he was expressing a popular mythology about manhood among Australian males. ‘A real man gets drunk and has a fight.’ says the myth. ‘If a guy won’t fight back, kick him!’ THAT, along with the pervasive racism in your society, needs to be addressed and soon.

‘Racism?’ What else do you call the behavior and orientation of a group of ‘hardy pioneers,’ actually convicted felons, that steals a continent from people who have made it their home for 60,000 years plus, systematically kills everyone they find in Tasmania, takes their children away and tries to make them ‘white,’ and then expects the original inhabitants to ‘adjust’ to the barbarian’s way of life, language, and attitudes? While traveling and living extensively there, I only met one that was not openly racist.

  • Casey supporter

I couldn’t agree with you more. And since you support Casey just as I do, I was wondering if you give me a hand with a problem that I have.

There’s jerk whose username is Mindstamina. He posted in this article that all people who are against Ricahrd should die. If you ask me, he’s a hypocrite in that he claims to feels sorry for Richard but supports bullies like him. Can you believe how horrible he is?

If you want to know where Mindstamina posted in this webpage, you can scroll up here until you find his username and posts. And if you respond to him, then I wish you luck.

  • Casey supporter

I couldn’t have typed that better myself. Because you side with Casey just as I do, do you think that you could me with a problem with I have? That problem is with some asswipe whose username is Mindstamina. He’s a hypocrite in that he claims to feel sorry Richard but has seems to have no pity for people who get bullied. What’s more is that he wants all of Richard’s haters to die. How horrible that is.

If you want to know where Mindstamina is, you can scroll up until you find his username and posts. And if you respond to him, good luck.

  • Casey supporter

    Totally.

  • Casey supporter

    My sentiments exactly.

  • Casey supporter

    You better believe it.

  • Casey supporter

Oh, you think that Casey should have let Richard kick his ass? What a liar you are.

Richard – or Rick as I’d rather call him – deserved to have the shit kicked out of him ’cause he’s was bein’ a dickhead to Casey.

Casey did was minding his own business when Rick chose to terrorize him. It was then that the big boy kicked his ass. If he didn’t do that, then his enemy would continue to antagonizin’ him. Is that you want?

What if you’re Casey and Richard refused to leave you alone?

  • Casey supporter

I applaud you just as I applaud Casey.

  • Casey supporter

Why are you apologizing to him? Can you not see the horrible posts that he made?
