Colin Cowherd Tweets He Missed Today’s SportsNation With “Chest Pains, Short[ness] Of Breath”

To those of you wondering where Colin Cowherd was on today’s SportsNation, he provided an explanation on Twitter a while ago, and, well, it was a little unsettling:

Going to be out. Left ESPN for hospital ER this morning. Chest pains,short of breath,momentarily scary.ESPN been great. current state:Alive

Fortunately, seems like he’s fine (he only called it “momentarily scary,” after all, but it did force him to miss an episode of his show hotly anticipated by some for potential awkwardness – co-host Michelle Beadle was in the studio with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, of whom she’s been highly critical in the past due to his 2007 dogfighting conviction. Beadle, in fact, openly admitted she wasn’t looking forward to doing the show.

The bigger issue of the day wound up being Cowherd’s health, however. And yes, it’s Cowherd, so we sort of have to acknowledge his divisiveness (and that with the things he’s prone to saying from time to time, it’s not difficult to understand why). But health concerns, especially when symptoms like chest pains are involved, transcend that, and we hope Cowherd’s scare was indeed only momentary.
