Courageous Superfan Larissa Riquelme Unharmed After Attack

Paraguayan national treasure and often-nude soccer fan Larissa Riquelme is fine after being robbed in Rio on Sunday. Riquelme was accompanied by her sister, boyfriend and another friend as they walked along the street and were approached two cowardly bandits.

The black-hearted thieves made off with some passports, two digital cameras and worst of all, her cell phone, which is reportedly some sort of mobile device that Riquelme single-handedly put on the map after displaying one at the World Cup.

Riquelme, if you’ll remember, famously pledged to “run through the streets nude” if Paraguay won the World Cup. Paraguay didn’t win the World Cup, but Riquelme kept her courageous promise to fans.

Larissa confirmed through her Twitter that she’s okay, saying “”I’m fine … I thank you all for your support! It’s been the scare.”

Riquelme, the trooper that she is, reportedly refused to go to the police station to file a report because she would miss her flight. And in all seriousness, I’m glad everyone is okay.

Here’s a photo of her talking to police after the robbery:
