Doomsday Scenario: ESPN’s Jeff Van Gundy Wonders If The Heat Should Trade LeBron James Or Dwyane Wade
If you were Pat Riley, would you consider trading away LeBron James or Dwyane Wade? That was the suggestion spitballed by ESPN analyst Jeff Van Gundy at the tail end of last night’s Heat-Mavericks telecast.
In what would probably be the most nightmarish nightmare scenario for Orlando, a city already teetering on the edge of full-on paranoia, Van Gundy presented this hypothetical: Wade or James for the Magic’s Dwight Howard.
“They have to evaluate, is that the best compliment that they can be?” Van Gundy said. “Or should they make a play for Dwight Howard, using one of those two guys to get a more balanced team?”
Please, no one tell the Orlando Sentinel about this.
