The Colin Cowherd Sitcom Will Also Star Eliza Dushku

What we already knew about Colin Cowherd‘s upcoming TV pilot: Damon Wayans will star as Cowherd’s character in a show the ESPN personality seems to care very little about, and it seems like it’s going to be little other than a generic sitcom.

With the aforementioned knowledge, we weren’t exactly itching with excitement for the pilot to be made. But then yesterday we found this out: Eliza Dushku—of True Lies fame—will star opposite Wayans, which changes, well, almost nothing.

If you’re a fan of Dollhouse, Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Bring It On, you might be pretty excited for what may be (but more likely won’t be) Dushku’s biggest role yet. But if you’re like us, this news means little besides knowing an attractive, mildly successful actress will play “Casey” (the Michelle Beadle-ish character), which is about what we expected.

At least it’s what we would have expected before the announcement that Wayans was cast in the leading role. After that surprising news, CBS probably figured it didn’t need to do much more to shake things up.

For her part, Dushku seems pretty excited to take the challenge, and honestly, she’s probably a decent fit for the role—she’s pretty sexy, plus she’s pretty sexy, and she recently guest starred on another CBS multi-camera comedy, The Big Bang Theory, so she’s not completely new to sitcoms. Besides, how much acting is really necessary to read the lines in the script that leaked last month?
