Floyd Mayweather’s Racist Rant Against Asians Includes References To Eating Dogs
Many people aren’t surprised by what Floyd Mayweather, Jr. says anymore…until recently. Doing a daily Ustream with his fans, Mayweather significantly raised the trash-talking stakes with a culturally-confused rant about Manny Pacquiao, the man he is trying to avoid fighting. The audio sucks, so luckily Game On! from USA Today made a nice summary of his comments about his potential future opponent:
“In a recent video, Mayweather went on a racist rant about Pacquiao in which he called him a midget and said after he beat him he’d force Pacquiao to “make some sushi rolls and cook some rice” and that “we’re going to cook him with some cats and dogs.”
Mayweather makes some pretty wide swipes at multiple Asian cultures without really nailing down a Filipino-specific insult. But the multiple swear words seem to indicate that he means business.
Another theory is that the latest Mayweather chatter is just an attempt to seem interested in fighting without actually doing it. From Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach:
“It’s real important for (Mayweather) to stay undefeated. He has that zero on his record, and he can say he’s the best fighter of all time, better than Sugar Ray Robinson (and) a lot of legendary fighters. With that zero on his record, he has an argument. I don’t think he wants to risk a loss on his record, because then the argument goes away. But, hey, Floyd is a gambler, and hopefully he loses a couple of bets and then needs to fight.”
