Frenchman Becomes First White Man To Run 100M In Under 10 Seconds (Video)

France’s Christophe Lemaitre became the first white man to run the 100 meters in under 10 seconds, as his time of 9.98 seconds juuuuust barely makes him record holder in the category of White Guy Sprinting.

Usain Bolt holds the record for the 100 meters for All Guys, with a time of 9.58.

Only 71 men have ever run a sub-10 second 100 meters, and all have been of African descent. Lemaitre will no doubt see a surge in his Youtubeness, as is generally the case when white guys excel at something dominated by black guys (see Kelly Pavlick, Jordan Shipley, and every white guy who could dunk ever).

No hate, though: this is still an amazing feat, no matter what color you are. Video of his run below:
