SNL’s Jay Pharoah Went On ESPN Today And Called Paul Pierce An “Actress”

Hey! Remember SNL’s Stephen A. Smith impression that got all that publicity (and by publicity, we mean three replays per hour on every ESPN-owned outlet)? The one where comedian Jay Pharoah, sporting an A. Smithian hairline and articulating with exaggerated New York City pauses, impersonated the outspoken sports shouter at the “Weekend Update” desk? And explained his creepily intimate familiarity with LeBRAWN James and Mario CHAWMers?
Welp, some producers in Bristol had the admittedly bright idea to have him on First Take for a little pop cultural change-up, and today, Pharoah made the trek up north to sit down with Skip Bayless, Jay Crawford, and the real Stephen A. Smith to do some impressions, climb on some desks, and call Paul Pierce an actress. It was like there were two Stephen A. Smiths on TV at the same time! WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.
