Jeremy Lin Outscored Kobe Bryant Last Night

And the internet lost its mind. Knicks win, 92-85, with Lin outscoring Bryant 38-34. Five things to take away from this game:

1. Jeremy Lin is a very good player who has found himself in the perfect place (Mike D’Antoni’s system) at the perfect time (with the Knicks in desperate need of a point guard with his vision). He energizes the whole team — Tyson Chandler is running the floor because he actually thinks there’s a chance he’ll get the ball, Jared Jeffries is actually talking in the huddle, and Landry Fields actually has a purpose in his life. It’s spectacular to watch. Too bad Carmelo Anthony will be back soon to put a stop to all of that beautiful ball movement and RUIN IT ALL.

2. Jeremy Lin masks are very, very creepy.

3. There are 20,000 nicknames for Jeremy Lin. None of them are good.

4. No one is a bigger winner than the NBA, which is massively popular in the Asian-American community and in China (Lin is the first American player in the league to be of Chinese and Taiwanese descent).

5. Kobe Bryant now knows who Jeremy Lin is.
