Kevin Garnett After Doc Rivers Acts Crazy: “I Need To Drug Test Our Coach”

When the Boston Celtics finished off the New York Knicks today with a 101-89 win, sideline reporter Lisa Salters grabbed Kevin Garnett (who submitted a vintage KG performance with 26 points and 10 rebounds) for a brief interview. This sort of thing, of course, happens after every game.

What doesn’t happen after every game – the interviewed player’s fired-up coach getting his excited yelling caught by the mike. It happened here, though – Doc Rivers went up to KG, and as far as we can tell, said the following:

“IT’S WHAT YOU’VE BEEN WAITIN’ FOR! HUH?! DAMMIT!”

Rivers, clearly riding high after the win, then moved on, but Garnett, still amused by the histrionics, told Salters: “I need to drug test our coach.” We’re pretty sure it was strictly a “high on life” thing, though, and honestly, we’re just glad someone besides Garnett was the one acting creepily intense for a change.
