Lamar Odom Bids Farewell To Reality Show Stardom

After Lamar Odom suffered through a dismal post-lockout NBA season with the Dallas Mavericks, eventually being listed as “inactive” by the team, he is suffering another tough blow: the end of his reality show. I know. “Khloe and Lamar,” which co-stars his wife Khloe Kardashian and airs on E!, the home to the rest of the Kardashian empire’s programming, is no more. The New York Post reports:

Khloe Kardashian and her husband, Lamar Odom, are pulling the plug on their spin-off reality show because the basketball star wants to focus on his failing NBA career, according to a new report.

Odom, who parted ways from the Dallas Mavericks in early April, is determined to revive his basketball career and does not want any distractions.

Well, this is probably for the best. Unlike another high profile Kardashian + professional athlete couple I could name, Khloe and Lamar seem to actually enjoy being around each other, and will certainly benefit psychologically, if not athletically, from not being followed around by cameras 24/7.

Also a plus: they aren’t getting divorced (knock on wood), which is what I first thought when I glanced at the headline, and I’m not ashamed to say my heart skipped a beat or two. Maybe the next step can be getting Rob Kardashian to move out of Casa Odom, because I’m starting to think he’s stealing Lamar’s life force/basketball skills while he sleeps, the way that cats are said to steal their owner’s souls. Just something to think about, Odom-Kardashian family.

Khloe seems like the only normal Kardashian…..and Lamar is a nice guy.  Wish them well.
