LeBron James Maintains That LeBron James Is Blamed For Everything, Including You Not Getting Your Preferred Brand Of Milk

Yes, LeBron James is aware Kendrick Perkins called him out for tweeting in awe about Blake Griffin’s dunk over Perkins, and he knows Larry Bird said that to win championships, you’d be better off playing with Kobe than with LeBron. Last night, we found out what LeBron had to say about all this. First off, he made no apologies for the tweet, saying it was all about “connecting to [his] fans.” Where it got more interesting was when LeBron talked about the idea of himself as an “easy target”:

It’s true – he’s an easy target (though that’s partly his own doing). And we’re not sure we buy it when LeBron says such criticism “doesn’t get to [him] at all.” If it really didn’t, hard to imagine he’d crack wise about it like he did in the clip above. But we’re glad he did, because he came up with a pretty funny line about it.

Not to mention we kind of agree with LeBron on this. We said as much when we saw Perkins’ callout: we thought it was too much. It really did feel like a desperate attempt to get mad at LeBron about something. It’s pointless, really – we have our punching bags, and we keep punching and punching them, regardless of whether there’s any reason to or not, because punching them feels good (and people complain about that happening outside of sports, too). Blaming people for everything, including things they have nothing to do with – truly a indictment of our society. Thanks a lot, Obama.
