Barbara Walters Just Wants To Know: Has LeBron Read Fifty Shades Of Grey?

For a while there, it was a hot LeBron talking point during the playoffs: he was reading, among other books, The Hunger Games trilogy before games. That noise was eventually discarded in favor of the “CAN LEBRON WIN THE TITLE/LEBRON MIGHT CHOKE AGAIN/WAIT MAYBE NOT/OMG LEBRON WON THE TITLE WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN” storyline, but some people remembered it: like the ladies of The View.

LeBron, along with teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh (all three of whom are making the New York talk show rounds), was a guest on the program today, and his reading habits came up. LeBron said about what you’d expect him to say: that it was a way for him to get his mind off basketball for a moment, a way to clear his head. Barbara Walters, though, wanted to kn ow if he’s tackling a different book:

We were hoping Barbara would say something suggestive, and sure enough, she delivered. And speaking of suggestive: was that “I got a paddle for you” that can be heard right after LeBron explains that his fiancee read (and enjoyed) the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey? Watch and decide. And as glad as we are that Barbara gave her best effort to make LeBron blush a bit, we can’t help but wish she’d also asked his opinion of this while she was at it.
