Listen To Vancouver Canucks Fans Chant “Bettman Sucks!” About NHL Commissioner

Late in the Boston Bruins’ Stanley-Cup-clinching 4-0 win over the Vancouver Canucks tonight, the Vancouver home crowd saluted their team for a great season, and the team saluted them back after the horn sounded. It was a classy display, the kind you’d want to see from your team and fans, the kind that makes you think, “That’s the kind of fan I want to be.”

And then, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman entered the picture, to present the Conn Smythe playoff MVP trophy (as expected, it went to Bruins goalie Tim Thomas) and Lord Stanley’s Cup itself. The fans’ reaction to Bettman: less heartwarming. Here’s what they chanted.

I thought the fans for the most part were classy inside the stadium. While they booed Bettman, they did cheer for their team and cheered Boston’s special moments.

Bettman does suck. We all know it. The crowd letting Bettman know this had nothing to do with the loss, and everything to do with sucking.

I have to wonder; is there ANY Commissioner they’d cheer for (or not boo against)?

Canucks fans showed disrespect to Boston when booing while Bettman was trying to present the cup to Chara. Canucks are classless organization that starts at the top with their owner , GM and coach. The players embellish diving and its so ,so awesome to see them loose. Thank-you to the Bruins for beating them and enjoy your victory.
