Lynda Carter (A.K.A. Wonder Woman) Basically Made Charles Barkley And Shaq Melt Into Giant Puddles

I grew up knowing actress Lynda Carter as the woman from those commercials for contact lens shipper Lens Express that would air during The Price is Right. But many folks a bit older than I am remember her for something a little different – and more glamorous: playing Wonder Woman. Carter won many hearts and minds for this portrayal, and is identified with the role to this day. Proof of that can be found in how two giants in a different area reacted to Carter’s presence last night.

The scene: NBATV ‘s postgame coverage of Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The reason: apparently Carter and her husband are friendly with Pat Riley and his wife, so she’s rooting on the Heat. Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley: excited to have her around. Really excited. Growing up, they did know Carter as Wonder Woman, so they both seemed a little awed:

The New Adventures of Wonder Woman ended in 1979. Carter turns 61 next month. Based on the above, she’s still got it. How would Shaq and Charles re-establish their on-set dominance after so clearly being upstaged by Carter? Which unfortunate soul would they heckle?
