McKayla Maroney Goes On Letterman, Forcing David Letterman To Talk About Internet Meme

You thought McKayla Maroney was done not being impressed? Never! She and her gold-medal-winning U.S. gymnastics teammates stopped by Late Show with David Letterman last night, and obviously Maroney did the face. And just like when the pool was closed, Maroney’s teammates got in on the act, too. (Side note: in the pool photo, Maroney actually did the worst Maroney face of the three. Oh, the irony.) You know the deal by now. And we’re with SB Nation: Gabby Douglas indeed has the face down pat.

Another thing: you know an internet thing has gotten big when David Letterman is having to talk about an internet thing. Sure, Letterman was the hip, edgy guy at one point, but that is a point we’ve long since passed, and hearing him say “You’ve been everywhere on the internet” will never not be weird. (And now that we say that, it’ll probably turn out that Letterman created the meme itself, or at least has been sending regular photoshop jobs to the tumblr.) Video below.
