Obama Is Having Another One Of His Dream Sequence Pickup Games Soon

In what would be a star-filled event even without the leader of the free world, Barack Obama is hosting an “Obama Classic,” a basketball fundraiser slated to take place sometime this summer. The game, which was originally scheduled for 2011, had to be postponed when the NBA labor dispute ended, according to the site description.
The event will feature many past and present NBA superstars, such as Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, Carmelo Anthony, Kyrie Irving, and WNBAer Sheryl Swoopes, according to a campaign email obtained by CBS.
The Obama Classic web page also features a note that’s signed by Vince Carter, Chris Paul, and Baron Davis, so the trio’s attendance should also be assumed.
Via CBS:
For a $3 donation, a supporter will enter the chance to win the $3,200 grand prize that includes round-trip coach-class tickets, a one-night stay at a hotel and tickets for the game.
According to the campaign email, one lucky winner will actually get to “shoot hoops” with Obama and company.
I think the biggest question on everyone’s minds though should be, will Kyrie Irving challenge Obama or even Jordan to a game of one-on-one? I wouldn’t put it past him.
