Opening Ceremony Video: The Olympic Rings Coming Together Was Pretty Freaking Cool

We have our very first cool video from the Opening Ceremony at the 2012 London Olympics, and it features the Olympic rings joining… in fire form! It was quite a sight, as the Danny Boyle-directed First Act (which, as we noted earlier, features David Bowie scaring the daylights out of the entire world) saw its first Big Moment. Just a big, psychedelic Moment.

Rings! Fire! Colby Hall, former Managing Editor of Mediaite and SportsGrid, and a man who is an excellent dancer, summed up tonight’s first legitimately compelling piece of art thusly.

Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
