Radio Host Calls Jenn Sterger “Whore” In Tweet (UPDATE: The Host Responds)

Put yourself in Jenn Sterger’s father’s shoes. Your daughter says she was harassed by Brett Favre, and even if you were looking at that accusation from an entirely objective point of view (which you’re not, because you’re her father), you’ve got pretty good reason to believe that’s indeed the case. Would you be angry at Brett Favre?

Well, of course you would be. So, Leo Sterger is, saying of Favre, “I better not meet that guy walking down a dark alley.” This is to be expected. What’s not to be expected is what radio host Chad Dukes (probably best known for this rant) had to say about the elder Sterger’s comments on Twitter:

Your daughter is a whore. Pipe Down.

Um, wow. There are many reasons it was a poor choice for Dukes to say this. How exactly he’s so certain of Sterger’s whorishness is just one issue. Another: if Dukes using Sterger’s conduct throughout the whole Favre saga to strengthen his case, he won’t get much to work with.

Sterger was uneasy about moving the story forward from the beginning, and even when Deadspin posted the evidence (acquired, notably, through someone other than Sterger), they made clear that Sterger “is still reluctant to talk on the record about the matter.” Doesn’t sound like the attention-crazed bimbo Dukes apparently pictures.

Duke’s Redskins rant was legendary, but this tweet is much, much less so. One would think he’ll have to issue an apology for it at some point (we’re a little surprised it’s still up on his Twitter page at all), but even if he does, we’re pretty sure of one thing: Leo Sterger knows one more guy he better not meet in a dark alley.

UPDATE: We tweeted at Dukes for a comment. Here was the back-and-forth:

These days, it gets ratings to be harsh and extreme. Not surprising

“Sterger was uneasy about moving the story forward from the beginning, and even when Deadspin posted the evidence (acquired, notably, through someone other than Sterger), they made clear that Sterger “is still reluctant to talk on the record about the matter.” ”

How did Deadspin get the alleged evidence that was allegedly sent to sterger, and if Sterger didn’t advance the complaint, then what is the cause of action?
