“He Shot His Wad”: Fox Legal Analyst Uses Most Unfortunate Idiom Ever To Describe Jerry Sandusky

Eagle-eyed video maestro/licensed spaceship operator Tim Burke spotted this one over at Deadspin, and we’re glad he did. Although we doubt Fox LA Legal Anlayst Robin Sax feels the same way.

Sax came onto KTTV for a brief hit on the ongoing Sandusky trial — a trial which Sandusky’s lawyers are making quite a mess of. In describing that mess, Sax went with an interesting (and unfortunate) turn of phrase.

He should not take the stand. That’s free legal advice from me. He’s already proclaimed his innocence, he had his shot, he shot his wad, and he did a terrible job, and better not be placed in the position to have to explain it.
