Watch Russia’s Insane Game-Winning 3-Pointer At The Olympics, And The Uncalled Foul


Russia beat Brazil 75-74 in Olympic basketball group play today in London, but you might not care. What you will care about, though, is the game’s epic finish.

The Russians were down by two with six seconds remaining, inbounding from their offensive end. Viktor Khryapa — former NBA first-round pick — was throwing the ball in. David Blatt, an Israeli-American known as an elite coach on the international stage, drew up a play.

Khryapa got it off to teammate Vitaliy Fridzon in the left corner, behind the 3-point line. The Brazilian defender frantically fouls him as he goes to shoot, but there’s no call… and it didn’t matter:

Too bad Team USA can’t have drama like this when it’s beating teams by 47. They’re not even exciting enough to get a date. Poor America.
