The Greatest Sports Movie Speech (Montage) Ever

New York’s Vulture section passes along a terrific nugget from Screen Junkies: a montage of some of the best sports movie/TV show pep talks ever given. You’ve got your Hoosiers, your Mighty Ducks, Slap Shot, Miracle, Rudy, Any Given Sunday, The Replacements (not everyone was quite so keen on the inclusion of that one), Eastbound & Down, Friday Night Lights (movie version), We Are Marshall, Remember the Titans, and more. Here it is:

Fine work was done in compiling the above, no doubt. (And we’re not sure there’s anything Explosions in the Sky can’t make better.) But Vulture’s Amanda Dobbins made a very worthy point: the absence of any material from the TV show version of Friday Night Lights does leave an undeniable void in the video above. We, though, are here to help fix that. Below is a montage from Friday Night Lights (TV version) set to one of coach Eric Taylor’s speeches.
