Thierry Henry, Noted International Villain, Will Play Soccer For The New York Red Bulls
Theirry Henry has joined the New York Red Bulls, signing a multiyear contract with the MLS team and going to the one place in the world where he’s not famous enough yet to draw widespread disdain.
Henry will make his debut on July 22nd in an exhibition game against Tootenham of the Premier League. Henry is 32, and follows in the footsteps of an aging soccer star attempting career resuscitation in America.
In case you forgot, Henry was the one who scored the winning goal against Ireland in World Cup qualifying – with his hands. The incident sparked outrage abroad, and contempt in his home country. Henry has expressed guilt over the incident, but that hasn’t stopped his popularity from taking a nosedive.
