This Exists: Newly Renovated High School Football Field Turns Out To Be Only 80 Yards Long

In Any Given Sunday, Al Pacino tells us that “You find out life’s this game of inches, so is football.”

Well, tell that to the Lions of Lehman High School, whose newly renovated football field came in just 720 inches — or 20 yards, to be exact — short of being fully functional.

The team, which has never played a home game, received some good news from the Department of Education several years ago, which allocated $5 million for renovations.

Said coach Michael Saunds:

“We go to play our games at our Bronx rivals’ houses. Our home games this year will be played at Clinton High School, which is one of our rivals.”

According to the Department, there’s no more money (where have we heard that before), so the field will remain fun-sized at 80 yards.

The players are planning to file a lawsuit, to which we say: good for them for learning how life in America works at a young age. If you get screwed, sue.
