Watch Caroline Wozniacki Make Fun Of Rafael Nadal’s Awkward Press Conference

On Sunday, Rafael Nadal briefly cramped up during a postmatch press conference after a 7-6 (5), 6-1, 7-5 win over David Nalbandian. The cramping caused Nadal to slide down in his seat with his eyes closed, an no-doubt unusual sight for the reporters in attendance.

The awkwardness of the presser was not lost on the world’s number one women’s tennis player (and girlfriend of pro golfer Rory McIlroy) Caroline Wozniacki, who poked fun at Rafa (but didn’t mean anything bad by it!) at her presser last night.

What Caroline did was inappropriate, classless, and exempifies her true character. There is absolutely nothing funny about Nadal experiencing extruciating cramps. She is just that desperate to impress! Rafa Nadal is a remarkable example of class. Never would he stoop so low as to mock another player’s painful experience in public. Maybe if she would spent time figuring how to beat top players in key moments as opposed to trying to be comical and attract attention , she wouldn’t be an embarrassing representative as a slamless #1. Nadal’s repect and compassion for others transcend tennis; he is much bigger than that in character; only small people engage in that kind of behavior and those who find it funny are no better than she is.
