WATCH: The Greatest Goal Celebration of All Time? (UPDATE)

Yesterday, we showed you arguably the greatest penalty kick of all time. In order to not only one up that goal and my editor here at SportsGrid, I offer the following contribution to the pantheon of goal celebrations:

Although, considering I don’t speak Icelandic and I’m not even really sure which league this is (Google Translate tells me that the title of the video is “Best specialist in Pepsi League”), tell me that it’s not still outstanding.

UPDATE, 11:23 a.m.: Thanks to an English version of the video and some helpful YouTube commenters, we get more of the story. The match featured two teams from the top league in Iceland, Stjarnan and Fylkir, and Halldor Orri’s penalty was a game winner for Stjarnan in extra time. The name of the guy he’s reeling in? Johann Laxdal. Even more appropriate of a celebration when you consider the pun on his last name: “lax” is Icelandic for “salmon.”
