Would James Dolan Ever Fight Mikhail Prokhorov?

The team at The Basketball Jones proposes the “Battle of the Boroughs”  in this video, pitting the Nets’ chiseled owner, Mikhail Prokhorov, against schlubby Knicks owner James Dolan. It features Prokhorov doing flips on his jet ski and Dolan serenading all his fans.

Unfortunately, it’s probably the closest to Prokhorov that Dolan will ever get. Prokhorov’s hands could be considered deadly weapons, and Dolan’s dance moves should be illegal in all 50 states. It’s still funny to imagine, though…and even better to watch James Dolan sing. Note: he’s fond of the Dixie Chicks.

The video is clearly inspired by the ongoing feud between the two franchises. Prokhorov and Dolan have been going back and forth in public for some time now, ever since the Nets erected a billboard a block away from Madison Square Garden. Recently, Prokhorov proclaimed that the Nets are emulating the Lakers, not the Knicks, in a somewhat haughty tone.

The Knicks, however, won the only meeting between the two teams and have been the ones walking the walk on the court.
