Brian Cashman’s Wife Files For Divorce After He Got Busted Giving Money To His Mistress

Earlier in the week we brought you the story of New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman and the curious case of alleged extortion from his most recent mistress, Louise Meanwell. Now, everything’s gone from bad to worse, as Cashman’s wife, Mary Cashman, has reportedly filed for divorce, according to the New York Post.

This has been the second time that Mr. Cashman has been caught in an extramarital affair. The most recent, with Ms. Meanwell, has apparently been much too much for Mrs. Cahsman. She filed court papers with the Connecticut Superior Court yesterday claiming that their marriage has “broken down irretrievably.”

Mrs. Chashman is also seeking alimony, a split of their properties and joint custody of their two children, aged 13 and 8 years old.

Meanwhile, Meanwell will be in court on Tuesday for charges that she extorted Chashman for some $6,000, a claim both she and her lawyer have denied. They are insisting that Meanwell was given the cash as a gift, and many of her friends who have witnessed the two together are claiming that the relationship was more of a “boyfriend-girlfriend” type of deal.

The team over at Deadspin has been all over this story and actually have some amazing photos of what they claim to be Cashman’s pajama pants. No, they aren’t pinstriped.

Good for Mary Cashman! I abhor any married person, man or woman who cheats on his or her spouse! If you can’t stay loyal, then stay single; if you have a loyal spouse, then why stray?? Even if there are problems, try to work them out or divorce is always an option instead of sneaking around behind your partner’s back; grow up Brian!!
