Bryce Harper’s Gonna Hear All About His Clown Fielding Tomorrow, Bro

Get your hashtags ready. Bryce Harper blew a ridiculously easy fly ball out in left field during the 5th inning of the All-Star Game. That means Harper, he of “That’s a clown question, bro” fame, has now given us a prime example of some clown fielding, bro.

This kid had to be excited for tonight. He’s the youngest position player to ever step onto an All-Star Game field, which makes every single thing he does here historic. Unfortunately, no matter what else happens tonight, it looks like he’ll go down in history as the youngest position player to look this ridiculous during the All-Star Game.

Thankfully, he was partially bailed by Tim McCarver’s deft observation that this ball was “too deep for the shortstop.” That’s some clown color commentary, Tim. I mean, bro. Whatever. The American League couldn’t take advantage of the error and the score is still 8-0, NL in the 6th. #madenodifference.

Clearly, the author of this article doesn’t know anything about playing the game of baseball. Sometimes you lose fly balls in the lights And there’s nothing you can do about it. He just couldn’t see it. And maybe we should take into consideration that he never played outfield until he was drafted into professional baseball. Learning to judge fly balls is a learned skill. He’s still learning. If you ask me, this is a “clown” article by a guy who doesn’t really understand the inner workings of the game.

dude hes in the major leagues , pop up no excuses to miss it i dont care if your 35 or 19 you have to make play , if willie mays was there he would have took him out of game , and you say he lost in lights while the announcers state he looses it in the light blue sky , everyone makes excuses for this kid

I completely disagree with this article. As should’ve been noted in the article, Harper was not charged an error. That’s all I have to say about that.
