Carli Lloyd Won A Gold Medal, So Accidentally Trolling Shane Victorino Is Forgiven
Carli Lloyd scored both goals in the U.S. women’s soccer team’s 2-1 gold medal match victory against Japan. Her Twitter has been most likely blowing up with congratulatory tweets from adoring fans, deservedly so. Shane Victorino jumped in the well wishes, because he’s just a nice guy like that. Lloyd is a gracious victor, so she offered up a fellow show of support for Victorino’s baseball team.

Too bad Victorino was salary-dumped to the Los Angeles Dodgers for reliever Josh Lindblom and minor league pitcher Ethan Martin, cash and a player to be named later on July 29th. Lloyd is actually from South Jersey, a pro-Phillies area, so at least her Philadelphia fandom is not contrived. Still, whoops.
