Did Yankee Fans Spit On Cliff Lee’s Wife?

Relax, Yankees fans. Cliff Lee can still be had for the right price. Even though you spat on his wife.

Kristen Lee told USA today that fans of the Bronx Bombers “taunted and threw beers” at her.

But Lee is downplaying the incident. According the NY Daily News, he seems unfazed:

“There were some people that were spitting off the balcony on to the family section and stuff like that, which is kind of weak. What can you do?

The Daily News’ back page, unsurprisingly, is not downplaying the incident.

Lee, of course, will be the most sought-after pitcher on the free agent market this summer, and the Yankees will undoubtedly be one of the teams vying for his services. So it’s probably not the best idea for their fans to be hawking up bodily fluids on his loved ones.

In other news, Lee is starting a game tonight that people may or may not watch.
