“I Skipped Chemo To See Chipper” Says Fan Sign, And Luckily He Didn’t Disappoint

Remember when a young cancer survivor implored his Phillies to beat the Astros since Houston wasn’t as formidable an opponent as his cancer? We don’t quite have the same exasperation at futility here, but we do have another apparent cancer patient sporting a rather humorous sign.

Luckily Chipper went 1-2 with two walks in a 6-2 Braves victory, so this fan had at least some reward for skipping her cancer treatment. Then again, we’d recommend against this course of action. It’s not like she had 2,497 chances to see him play or anything.

    She has seen him play before, but not since she started battling cancer. You should really think about what your writing before making such an insensitive and ignorant comment.
