Josh Hamilton Talks Addiction On Glenn Beck TV: “We Need To Find Out Why These [Relapses] Continue To Happen”

As we mentioned yesterday, Texas Rangers’ slugger Josh Hamilton sat down this afternoon on Glenn Beck TV to give his first post-relapse interview. And, as expected, it was a personal and somewhat emotional moment for the 2010 American League MVP.
Of course this seemed like a strange venue for a baseball player to break his silence on such a touchy issue, but then again Hamilton was in the company of his spiritual advisor, Pastor James Robinson, who conducted the interview while filling in for Beck.
During the segment, Hamilton revealed that his road to recovery, which included another slip-up back in 2009, has been a rough one, to say the least. And that while he’s struggled to make his family life a top priority in the past, he now feels as if he’s on the right path and is on his way to making a full recovery.
Good for Hamilton, too, who not only recognizes his mistakes and knows that he needs to learn from them, but he also didn’t place the blame for his personal failures on anyone but himself. Heck, he even took the time to acknowledge the media and say that they have done a fair job in covering his story. We’re pretty sure that there’s a strong consensus, not only among the media, but from those who have followed Hamilton’s journey, in hoping that he makes a full recovery. And soon.
