“He’s Mariano Riverer!” Iconic Sports Radio Host Mike Francesa Freaks Out On His Callers

Famed New York City sports radio host and noted Audrey Hepburn fan Mike Francesa was in rare form yesterday, having one of his better blowups in recent memory as a result of Yankee fans being Yankee fans. We consider ourselves connoisseurs of Francesa’s little episodes, so we’re understandably excited about this.

As with all Mike Francesa freakouts, the Why (a disagreement with callers about when to use the legendary relief pitcher) isn’t nearly as interesting as the What: wildly gesticulating shoutings of “Mariano Riverer,” broken up by brief instances of stoney silence, followed by more wild shouting.
