Mike Trout Momentarily Put Down His Bat And Made A Fantastic Leaping Catch
On a night where 20-year-old sensation Mike Trout scored three of the Angels’ 13 runs and had four hits, he will best be remembered for this homer-saving grab. Watching the replay is recommended, in order to understand just how high he got up there.
This play saved a run early on — not that the Angels ended up needing it. But Jared Weaver called it “very uplifting” and it shows.
For the record, the quick cut of Weaver at the end there is not only hilarious, but exactly the right way to react to a play like that: Stare with your mouth open and tip your cap.
And by the way: this kid is now batting .344 with 30 RBIs in the lead-off spot.
Also, we’re sure Torii Hunter never wants to go to the bar with that announcer, who totally blew up his spot and made him sound ancient with that “circa-2002″ reference. How embarrassing.
