So, Did This Rays Fan Get Hit In The Nuts By His Team’s Game-Tying Home Run?
Up until Evan Longoria’s 12th inning homer, the most exciting moment of the Tampa Bay Rays’ season was this game-tying, bottom of the 9th home run from Dan Johnson.
Johnson’s home run had it all: drama, desperation, and, at first glance, a gratuitous groin shot.
Yes, when you first watch the video below, it appears that one Rays fan was ill-prepared to deal with the line-drive shot, and was ploinked in a rather sensitive area.
But upon closer inspection, it appears that the home run may have hit safely off the fan’s thigh. Well, not safely. It probably still hurt either way, but this would be better than the alternative.
So, what say you, eagle-eyed SportsGrid readership? Groin shot or no groin shot?
