Video: Jon Rauch’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Roy Halladay returned to Toronto for the first time since being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2009, and threw his second consecutive complete game in a 5-3 victory over the Blue Jays.

His performance, however, was overshadowed by a violent outburst from Jon Rauch that earned the Toronto pitcher (and his manager) an ejection in a wild affair that earlier in the inning featured a fan running onto the field and leaving, in the words of Phillies broadcasters, “reluctantly.”

Here’s the lead-up to the outburst, Rauch’s explosion, and the ejections, from Rogers SportsNet:

Rauch can expect a fine from the commissioner’s office and perhaps lima beans for dinner.

That pitch is usually called a strike.

I think that ump needs some new contacts.

That ump is so lucky they got Rauch off the field!  The ump was toast, but he would have totally deserved it! GO Rauch and Farrell
