Watch: Fans’ Stunned Reaction To Baseball Fan Falling From An Upper Deck
The most talked about highlight from last night’s Major League Baseball action didn’t occur on the field – and it wasn’t even caught on video (at least as far as we know.) During a home game at Texas Rangers’ stadium, a spectator fell 30-feet while reaching for a foul ball from the front row of the second deck. The game was temporarily halted while fans, players and umpires recoiled from the scary fall.
According to CNN Wire reports:
A man who fell about 30 feet while trying to catch a foul ball at a Texas Rangers baseball game late Tuesday is lucky to be alive, according to an off-duty paramedic who was one of the first people to come to the man’s aid.
“The fall could have easily killed the guy,” Derek Dilday told CNN. “After the initial shock wore off, the guy was coherent, knew his own name and where he was,” he added.
The man — whose name has not been released — toppled over a railing on the second deck and fell to the field level seats at the Rangers’ stadium in Arlington, Texas, said John Blake, a spokesman for the Rangers.
