WATCH: The Tony La Russa/Albert Pujols Appearance At Glenn Beck’s Rally That Had Everyone In A Tizzy
Albert Pujols and Tony La Russa’s appearance at Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally, you know, the one that had everyone freaking out, happened earlier this morning. And it looked like everyone got themselves hyped up over nothing.
To be fair, the crux of the outcry over Pujols and La Russa’s appearance at Honorpalooza wasn’t over any possibly-incendiary things they’d say (this is Albert Pujols, after all), but the fact that they’d be there at all.
The news that they’d speak at the event, followed by La Russa’s attempt to convince us that there were no political implications in he and baseball’s MVP showing up at a Beck rally, was how we arrived at the state of semi-controversy that set the table for today’s speech.
Then Albert Pujols stepped to the podium, looked like he just graduated with honors, robotically promoted a few good causes, and we all went back to our day-to-day.
