Why Yes, This Is The Most Disinterested Walk-Off Call Of All Time
Veteran White Sox broadcaster Ken “Hawk” Harrelson had one of the least excited home run calls you’ll ever hear over the weekend.
In the bottom half of the 14th inning in Toronto, Corey Patterson of the Blue Jays hit a walk-off home run off of Gavin Floyd, and the White Sox lost. Normally, there would be some hint of emotion in the announcer’s voice when this happens (Excitement? Disappointment?). In Harrelson’s case, he just sounded like he was glad it was all over.
