Mike Conway’s Car Went Airborne During A Crash At The Indy 500
It’s official. We have our first Indy 500 crash. IndyCar points leader Will Power and Mike Conway were involved in the crash, and both were knocked out of the race.
Conway had just emerged from a pit stop, during which time he Grand Theft Auto-ed his crew members and damaged his front wing. But when he hit the track once more, he lost control of his car and spun out in front of Power, who could not avoid the collision. Conway went airborne, gliding vertically parallel to the wall before returning back to earth and compelling a caution flag.
