Hey! Who wants to see Fox San Diego sports anchor Ross Shimabuku dig himself into a hole? Shimabuku, whilst doing a segment on Danica Patrick (who finished 38th in today’s NASCAR Nationwide Series opener at Daytona), said he could think of “a few words” to describe Patrick.

“Starts with a ‘B’”, Shimabuku said. “And it’s not ‘beautiful.”

Yep. Things got even more awkward when it was sent over to one of Shimabuku’s (female) colleagues. Video here.

Ross Shimabuku is honestly the worst sports anchor in this market, this incident not withstanding. He exemplifies the cliche’ insecure macho frat-boy sports mentality and it’s amazing that he’s been able to last this long. Hopefully this incident will see him get the boot from Fox 5.

Uhm, he is not a sports anchor and what you just said makes no sense, and in all honesty, he is exactly right. We need more news anchors like him, ones that speak the truth and say what they feel, I congratulate him.
