BREAKING: Chicago Bulls Snap Miami Heat’s 27-Game Win Streak Behind Gritty Boozer Performance

Miami Heat Winless Streak: 1

Yep. It happened. 101-97. It wasn’t pretty. At times is was downright dirty. But the Chicago Bulls, propelled by 28 points from Luol Deng and some tenacious work on the glass, managed to do what no team has been able to do in almost two months: stop LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Boozer wasn’t having it. Watch him tell LeBron who’s boss (LeBron actually got a flagrant for lowering his shoulder, on top of looking like a petulant child hitting his dad.)

Before we do our obligatory retrospective on their prolific win streak, let’s take a look at what the Bulls managed to do tonight, and how. Without MVP Derrick Rose, 3-point threat Marco Belinelli, and the interior presence of Joakim Noah, the Bulls managed to out rebound the Heat 42 to 31 (not to mention twice as many offensive boards.) Sparked by Carlos Boozer’s monsterous 17 rebounds, the Bulls appeared to be just too physical for the Heat, who have become cute little goof balls over the past month.

Here’s a quick rundown of things that have transpired since the Heat last lost to the Pacers on February 1st:

- We got a new Pope
- Michael Jordan turned 50
- Florida Gulf Coast University became the first 15 seed to do anything in the NCAA Tournament
- Hugo Chavez died
- “Lincoln” didn’t get Best Picture
- It was winter
